Douglas Guest House is one of the few remaining Victorian Bed and Breakfasts in Vancouver. The asymmetrical, 2-floor building features a gabled roof, a bay window, and a half-porch. Rooms include free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and tea/coffee makers. Some have private bathrooms with walk-in showers, seating areas, or kitchenettes. A ground-level suite offers a private entrance and sofa bed, accommodating up to 4 guests.

Guests receive a full in-room vegetarian breakfast. Located on a tree-lined street in one of Vancouver's oldest heritage neighborhoods, the guesthouse is 1 km from Olympic Village SkyTrain Station and a 5-minute walk from Broadway-City Hall Station. It is 8 km from Vancouver International Airport (15 minutes by train) and 15 km from Vancouver General Hospital. Cambie Street, one block away, has shops and restaurants. Nearby landmarks include Mount Pleasant Park (0.5 km), Granville Island (2 km), Yaletown (2 km), BC Place Stadium (2 km), and Stanley Park.
